OYO STATE GOVERNMENT SHUTS DOWN AARE-AGO COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL OVER CRISIS.

The Oyo State Government has ordered the shutdown of Aare-Ago community High school with immediate effect.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science & Technology, Professor Abdulwaheed Adelabu gave the directive on behalf of the state government .

This was as a result of the crisis that broke out between the school and its host community last week, during which the school was reported to have come under violent attack.

The Commissioner’s shutdown order was contained in a release signed by the Permanent Secretary & Inspector General of Education, Ogbomoso Zone One, Dr F.D Oni.

The release called on the school management to ensure that no student is allowed within the school premises during the shutdown period.

The Commissioner further implores all concerned stakeholders to seek an amicable resolution of the crisis.
