NOA DG IDENTIFIES SYNERGY WITH NIGERIA POLICE AS A TOOL FOR A CLEAN COMMUNITY.

A clean community devoid of crime and other vices is achievable in Nigeria when stakeholders such as the National Orientation Agency collaborates with Nigeria Police Force.

The Director General, National Orientation Agency ( NOA) Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu made this known during an official visit to the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Victor Olaiya.

Onilu, who was accompanied by the NOA State Director , Mr Segun Adeyemi and members of his Management team emphasized that NOA is bothered about the increasing rate of crime in the society and is charting a new course to rid the community of vices by launching A CLEAN COMMUNITY PROJECT (CCP).

Speaking on the CCP, Mallam Issa Onilu noted that communities would have to be empowered to unite in cleaning their communities, a project that would equip people with leadership skills, conflict management and other life skills.

Mallam Issa Onilu congratulated the CP on his new appointment and pledged the Agency’s commitment to supply intelligent report to the police through its report and other means.

In his response, CP Victor Olaiya, equally congratulated the DG on his appointment and expressed confidence in the ability of the Agency to lead a reorientation campaign that would lead to a safe and clean community.

The Commissioner of Police also acknowledged the vital role Kwara NOA has been playing in its civic intelligence gathering, prompt and reliable report of incidences, and sensitization of Kwarans on their roles, pledging a full support for the Agency.

CP Olaiya therefore advised stakeholders to work with NOA and NPF against violence, cultism and every form of vices even as the NPF is ever ready and set to rid Kwara of criminal elements peace in the interest of all.
