The state Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Kwara State,Mr Segun Adeyemi has said that his Agency would strengthen working relationship with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by ensuring that government activities are well publicised to members of the public.
The NOA boss made this known when he paid a working visit to the State Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Alhaji Abdulfatai Beki in his office who had just been promoted as substantive State Correspondent of NAN in Kwara State.
The NOA boss advised NAN to continue to use its wide reach audience world wide to further educate and enlighten Nigerians on government policies and programmes in partnership with NOA.
Mr Adeyemi also thanked NAN for the support NOA had received in the time past especially in the coverage of its programmes and activities.
He congratulated Alhaji Beki for his recent promotion and promised that NOA will continue to co- operate with NAN in the state.
Earlier while responding, Alhaji Beki thanked the Director and NOA management for the visit and assured the Agency of NAN’s support always.
He stated that as sister organisations, both NOA and NAN are in the business of contributing to the national development and cannot but cooperate in the interest of all and sundry.
Alhaji Beki called on Nigerians to desist from spreading fake news and hate speeches which are capable of creating chaos in the polity.
