NEW EXCO FOR COMMUNITY CHEST COUNCIL INAUGURATED IN OYO STATE.

Mrs Toyin Balogun has charged newly inaugurated executives members of the Community Chest Council Oyo State to partner with her Ministry for the smooth implementation of all NGOs programmes in the state.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony at the Social Welfare Training Centre Samonda, Ibadan, with the topic ” THE ROLE OF NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION’S IN THE SOCIETY IN TIMES LIKE THIS” stressed the need for the CCC to compliment the efforts her Ministry with a view to delivering their mandate.
The Commissioner for women affairs and inclusions was represented by the Director of women Affairs, Mr Diya Ogunjimi who congratulated the new exco to work tirelessly in ensuring that the objectives of CCC are realised.
Mrs Balogun said her Ministry would co operate and support the work of community chest Council in Oyo State in all ramifications .
The Community Chest Council of Oyo State was founded in 1958 to co- ordinate the activities of Non- Government Organisations with a social welfare agenda in the state.
The Community Chest Council is the umbrella body of all organised Non Profit Civil Societies, Humanitarian/Charity Organisations, Homes, NGOs, CBOs, FBOs, and Voluntary organisations, working on deverse aspects of the Social Welfare Agenda in Oyo State.
We are the Voice of the Voiceless and our Motto is Passion for Humanity.
Our vision is the capacity building that facilitates human development and promotes peoples wellbeing.
Empowerment that improves all the quality of life of the target groups of member’s organisations .As well as provision of enabling environment for progress.
Earlier, while delivering his acceptance speech at the event, the new chairman of Community Chest Council, Dr Matthew Oluwasogo Ayodele thanked all those who voted for him to serve as the 7th chairman of CCC, Oyo State on the 28th of March 2024.
According to him ” It is time we wake up to work together for a better and more formidable Council of our dreams “
” We must not allow our different languages, creed, ethnicity and different religious beliefs to make us work at cross purposes adding that it is time for all of us to work as one big family for the sake of our Council and the state in general “
Dr Ayodele said the present executives administration agenda is broadly divided into five categories namely, unifying member organisations, Division of Administration into six zones for easy access, supporting the Ministry in implementation of the social welfare Trust fund projects.
Others are adequate welfare system for member organisations and putting in place elders consultative committee.
The Chairman said constructive criticisms of his administration are welcome from all angles and would be looked into with a view to bringing development.
Dr Ayodele said that before the end this year, his administration with the support of my exco would feed two thousand five hundred homes by the grace of God.
