NCAA SUSPENDS TWO VALUEJET PILOTS FOR BREACH OF AIRPORT SAFETY PROTOCOLS

The Nigeria civil aviation authority (NCAA) has suspended the licenses of captain Oluranti Ogovi and first officer Ivan Oloba following a reports of a serious Breach of aviation safety protocols at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja (Domestic terminal), on august 5, 2025.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the pilot initiated departure procedures without adhering to mandatory pre-departure clearance protocols, endangering ground personnel and airport users.

NCAA say the suspension will remain in effect pending the outcome of a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
