EXPOSE STUDENTS TO PRACTICAL TRAINING WHILE IN SCHOOL TO BOOST THEIR ORIENTATION.
There’s need for higher institutions of learning to incorporate plans for exposing students to necessary practical trainings into their orientation process, as part of efforts to stimulate their interest and commitment.
Members of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Students Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB made the call during an excursion to Radio Nigeria Paramount FM in Abeokuta.
President of the Association, Mr Joseph Olasheyinde who spoke on behalf of members said the visit was part of measures adopted by the leadership to assist students in exploring the different aspects of their course of study, before choosing an area of specialization.
Earlier, while adressing the Students, the General Manager of Paramount FM, Mr Akinyinka Akintola encouraged them to focus on equipping themselves with adequate knowledge that would enable them to contribute to the process of nation building.
Mr Akintola gave the assurance that the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria would continue to support credible efforts aimed at investing in the youths for greater impacts.
