INAUGURAL SPEECH BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMUNITY CHEST COUNCIL, OYO STATE, DR MATTHEW OLUWASOGO AYODELE, AICMC,JP.
Your Excellency, the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde. Your excellency, wife of the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Taminomini Olufunke Makinde. Your excellency the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal. Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Olaoye Ogundoyin. Hon Commissioner, Ministry of women Affairs and Social inclusions, Mrs Oluwatoyin Balogun. Others protocols duly observed.
Let me start this inaugural speech by expressing my profound appreciation to the almighty God, the Savior of my soul and my Redeemer for making this day possible. Today marks, an important milestone in our march towards a greater and better Council.
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, l was voted in as the 7th chairman for the Community Chest Council, Oyo State, on the 28th of March, 2024 by overwhelming majority of the Council and since then, we have been taking steps towards advancing the course of CCC.
The Community Chest Council, Oyo State, is the umbrella body of all the organised non- profit societies, Humanitarian/Charity Organisations, Homes, NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and voluntary organisations working on divers aspects of social welfare agenda in Oyo State. We are voice of the Voiceless and our Motto is Passion for Humanity with well over 250 organisations registered on our database.
Community Chest Council activities includes but not limited to the provision of selfless services to the destitutes, delinquent children, aged, ex- convicts, drug addicts, the physical challenged,disadvantaged and other vulnerable people in our society, there by complimenting the efforts of the state government.
THIS ADMINISTRATION AGENDA IS BROADLY DIVIDED INTO FIVE CATEGORIES:
1: Unifying member organisations.
2; Division of Administration into six zones for easy access.
3: Supporting the Ministry in implementation of the social welfare Trust projects.
4: Adequate welfare system for member organisations.
5: Putting in place elders consultative committee.
Distinguished members of Community Chest Council, we must all wake up to work together for a better and more formidable Council of our dream.
We must not allow our different languages, creed,ethnicity and different religious beliefs to make us work at cross purposes.
It is time for all of us to work as one big family for the sake of our Council and the state in general.
In this administration, everyone is important and constructive criticisms will be looked into to bring about the development as we all desires.

In conclusion therefore, with full confidence in God and our faith in his mercies, l declared that all these things are possible because my name is DR MATTHEW OLUWASOGO AYODELE, AICMC, JP and l am the Chairman, Community Chest Council, Oyo State of Nigeria.
