TEMITOPE ORIYOMI FOUNDATION CELEBRATES OVER 100 WIDOWS AND SINGLE MOTHERS DURING THE FOUNDATION END OF THE YEAR PARTY

The Temitope Oriyomi Foundation has celebrated over 100 widows and single mothers in the 2025 end of the year party

.The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Temitope Oriyomi Foundation for Widows and Single Mothers, Mrs. Temitope Olasebikan disclosed this during her welcome address at the foundation’s end-of-year party organised for the beneficiaries.

.In her remarks, she said: “My dream was simple yet powerful: to bring hope, encouragement, love, and empowerment to widows and single parents whose life challenges have pushed them into despair, depression, unhealthy situations, and various storms of life.“Today, we are here to appreciate you, celebrate your courage, perseverance, and achievements.

We are also here to renew our commitment as a foundation to continue supporting widows and single mothers through empowerment programmes, skills acquisition, mentorship, and emotional support.

”The Temitope Oriyomi Foundation is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, and non-tribalistic organisation established in 2021.

It received federal government approval and was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in July 2021 under registration number 161246.

Born out of a deep passion to advocate for women’s strength and provide succour, hope, and support, the foundation focuses on widows and single mothers who often face life’s toughest challenges with little or no assistance.

Having witnessed the struggles of women suddenly left alone—either through the loss of a spouse or the demands of single parenthood—the foundation has created a platform where they can find comfort, empowerment, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Mrs. Olasebikan described the foundation as a beacon of hope for women who feel forgotten, rejected, or discouraged, adding: “It is our mission to remind them that their stories are not over and that within them lies incredible strength, beauty, and potential.

She expressed profound gratitude to her family members for their unwavering support and to her team for turning the foundation’s vision and mission into reality.

She said her Foundation has empowered over 80 widows and single mothers in their various choices of businesses and that the funding of the foundation is from the founder and family.

However, the Oyo State commander of the National Agency for The Prohibition of Trafficking in person ( NAPTIP) Mr Kayode Alfred who was a special guest, delivered a lecture to sensitize the participants on the dangers of Human Trafficking and preventive measures against their children being trafficked.

Several non-governmental organisations in Oyo State joined in felicitating with the foundation on the occasion.

The event featured various fun competitions, including dancing and walking races, among others.

Most of the widows and single mothers in attendance received essential commodities to help them celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

Prizes were also presented to winners of the dancing and walking competitions.

The celebration was rounded off with thanksgiving prayers and joyous dancing to the glory of God.
