NOA GET NEW STATE DIRECTOR IN KWARA AS ABDULGANIYU DARE RETIRES

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kwara has announced the emergence of Alhaji Yakubu Abubakar Ibrahim as the new State Director.

This is consequent upon the retirement of the immediate past Director, Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu.

The announcement was made on Thursday, June 25, 2026, during a formal handover ceremony held in Ilorin, marking the end of Abdulganiyu’s distinguished career and the beginning of a new chapter for NOA Kwara.

Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu who clocked sixty years of age, has served with dedication and excellence as the Kwara State Director and is retiring after years of exemplary service to the Agency from its days as MAMSER.

Known for his jovial spirit, and unwavering commitment to promoting national values, Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu has been instrumental in advancing NOA’s mission to foster patriotism, civic engagement, and national unity in Kwara State and beyond.

The new State Director, Alhaji Yakubu Abubakar, who hails from Baruten in Kwwara State brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to NOA Kwara.

Having served extensively as COMO, he is well-equipped to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor and continue advancing the Agency’s objectives in the state.

A dedicated public servant and distinguished educationist, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Yakubu, stands as a pillar of commitment and integrity in the service of his fatherland.

Alhaji Yakubu is the immediate past Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Strategy, NOA Kwara State, a position he occupied before his assumption as the State Director.

In his inaugural speech, Alhaji Yakubu Abubakar expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve as the new State Director and pledged to work diligently to uphold the values of the NOA.

He acknowledged the support of management members as well as staff and emphasized his commitment to fostering greater public participation in national reorientation programs, with a focus on utilizing modern technology to reach all corners of the state.

“I am deeply honoured to take on this role, and I look forward to continuing the work of promoting national unity, civic responsibility, and patriotism in Kwara,” Alhaji Yakubu said.

“With the support of the dedicated NOA team, I am confident that we will achieve even greater milestones in advancing the objectives, vision, and mission of NOA.”

The ceremony was attended by the Kwara State Honourable Commissioner for Transport Alhaji Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi and Alhaji Ayuba Jimoh Dare, retired General Manager of the Nigerian Ports Authority.

Also, in attendance were senior officials from NOA’s North Central Zonal office, MDAs friends and family members who commended Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu for his outstanding contributions to the Agency and wished him well in his retirement.
