60 MEMBERS OF HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PROPOSE ADJUSTMENTS FROM PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM TO PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVT.
Around 60 members of the Federal House of Representatives are presently endeavoring to propose adjustments to the 1999 Constitution in order to facilitate a transition from the existing presidential system to the parliamentary system of government.
Under the leadership of Wale Raji, a legislator representing Lagos State in the All Progressives Congress, the lawmakers recognized the importance of reducing government expenses and engaging in meaningful policy discussions, among other factors. As a result, they called for a reinstatement of the parliamentary system of government to save costs.
